The Marriage of Content and Design

Anyone who has an iPhone (or has read the recent Steve Jobs' book) knows that creating a great product isn't enough for Apple. You've got to package it in a beautiful design. So it is with your message: make the back end fly with strong prose and send it to new heights with an elegant design. That is what we are about at Brinkley Ink: strong writing and equally strong design.

Kate Brinkley is a communications expert with a background in print and online publications. In 2011 Kate's primary project was Facets of Faith, a beautiful book about the stained glass windows of National Presbyterian Church. As project manager and editor, she had the pleasure of working with award-winning photographer Ira Wexler and graphic designer Tom Sadowski.

More recently, she edited 90 Percent, a novel due out this spring by Washington author Kathryn Harris. Kate has also designed publications for the Embassy of Israel, Election Integrity, and Columbia Partners, to name a few.

John Brinkley is a writer with extensive experience in opeds and speechwriting, as well as investigative journalism. His speeches have been given around the world, including the United Nations General Assembly, the U.S. Capitol, and the Council on Foreign Relations. His opeds have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Miami Herald, and Philadelphia Enquirer.

In the past year, John continued his speechwriting for the ambassador to the U.S. from the Republic of Korea. His work has focused mainly on the passage of the U.S-Korea free trade agreement. With a strong financial and foreign policy background, he is particularly suited to this assignment.
